Getting Started
How does RU Mentor work?
Browse verified graduate student mentors, select someone whose experience matches your goals, book a session at a time that works for you, and connect via video call for personalized guidance.
Who are the mentors?
All mentors are verified current graduate students in medical, dental, pharmacy, or PA programs. They've successfully navigated the pre-health path and want to help guide others.
Booking & Payments
How much do sessions cost?
Mentors set their own rates, typically ranging from $25-75 per hour. You'll see the exact price before booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled session for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable unless your mentor also cancels.
What if my mentor cancels?
If a mentor needs to cancel, you'll receive a full refund automatically.
Sessions
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 60 minutes, though some mentors offer 30-minute or 90-minute options.
How do sessions work?
Sessions are conducted via video call. You'll receive a meeting link when you book.
Becoming a Mentor
Can I become a mentor?
If you're currently enrolled in a medical, dental, pharmacy, or PA graduate program, yes! Apply through our Become a Mentor page.
How much can I earn as a mentor?
You set your own rates. After our platform fee, most mentors earn $20-60 per hour.
How often do I need to be available?
Completely up to you! Set your own availability and only accept bookings when it works for your schedule.
